The outlets at school grip extremely tightly. I am worried about pulling the pins out of my phone charger by accident. I have a 5 watt iPhone charger, which might be expensive to replace. Pins breaking off in plugs can be a safety hazard, especially if it is the hot side of the plug. To prevent the risk of damaging my charger, and as an excuse to use a NEMA-20 plug, I created a short extension cord. It has a NEMA-20 male plug on one end, and a regular 2 slot plug on the other end. The ground prong does nothing at all. I can't use this cord at home, because I don't have NEMA-20.
